I am in the process of setting up a 65 gallon sps reef (36" x 18" x 24") and will be using Photon to light. My question is should I use two 16" or a single 32" fixture to light the tank? There is a cross brace in the center of the tank so not sure if it will block too much light from a single fixture or not. Also wondering if 90 degree optics would be needed due to depth as I plan to have clams on bottom.

Hi,

The Photon 32 would be a good fit for an sps dominant tank that size.

The center brace should not affect the main lights, however it will block out the center moonlight at night, so if the moonlighting is important to you, you may want to add supplemental moonlighting to the middle of the tank. The W-series has 4 moonlights, so this would not be an issue with the 32-W.
