So my eggcrate barrier separating tank from overflow has failed twice now causing me to lose a tiger goby and a jawfish. My BRS clear netting finally arrived and I got the frame kit from Home Depot, my issue now is that my returns come up over my overflows and prevent me from making a perfectly square screen, I'm not sure how to do this. Any advice would be awesome! http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/21/70686002a3058ed1acad43cb37ffa108.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/21/5fa58936f0c103ea819e94d39e72e6e2.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/21/b9fe4fe259e7cd1c72eb88380cfb5a73.jpg

You can find extra corners at home depot too.
As long as your channel is long enough to have the two corners (or trim the inserts) you can make cut-outs to go around overflows.
I'd also recommend picking up a set of the screen tabs that give you something to grab onto to remove the screen if you cut it to fit inside the trim.

what Chuck said, you will have to cut the corner joint pieces for the turns but you can wrap the frame around.

If there's a gap big enough for your pinky, a Jawfish will find it.

My problem with just going around the corners of overflow is the returns.... I need to figure out a solution for them too

How about two covers?
One that takes care of the overflows with holes in the netting (take off your loc-line nozzle first).
Or, make an acrylic cover like some sumps, with overflow cutouts for the overflow side and make a smaller screen frame to cover the rest.

I was thinking the same type of thing... Here's what I've ended up with thus far. [

I tried cutting the acrylic by hand but when attempting to snap it broke weird and wasted the whole sheet. So I went and got more acrylic and a circular saw. I used a 24T carbide blade that came with it, had no issues. Some tiny chips on the corners however no issue for me as it isn't holding water. Then I drilled the over flow holes with a paddle bit.

Now the hard part. Getting the locline through the holes, lined up properly, and back together. This was extremely difficult and the longest part of the entire process. I don't wish this upon my worst enemy.... Lol

I will have the screens built and set up tomorrow.

Screens were pretty easy to put together. Just cut up the frame with a hacksaw and get some extra corners at homedepot. When I rolled in the screen it was too tight so it deformed a bit because of the tension. My 2nd go at it was better. They seem like they will work pretty good. Thanks everyone

I'm away for two days so I can't look and check, but if I remember correctly, I just cut the spline on the inverted corner. It's worked for a year so far. I will update with pictures when I get home
