I am about to purchase an old UHE 180gpd unit. What are the differences in this unit to the newer units? Can it be upgraded to new specifications? Can I send it in to be checked and serviced? I also need to buy all new cartridges. Which set do I need? Here is a pic of the unit.

Hey Jeremy. I am back in the hobby again. Is there any differences in the 2 units ?

I need to see a top view of the system.

This is the top of the system. The pump works and so does the power supply.

Can I just sent the top without the canisters and power supply? It makes it much easier and I don't want to chance the canisters breaking. I am including all of the other pieces including the floats switches, cables and control module.

I would like you to check it out, calibrate it if necessary and add new filters (I can install them myself). Also can you check if the membrane needs to be replaced and if so add that to the list. I would like this to be a 200 gpd unit. How much would that cost and is it reasonable? Also is this model comparable to the latest one? Can it be updated?

The unit would not function as a 200 unfortunately. It is a completely different configuration that is not worth the dollar amount for the change. However you can send that in without the canisters. We can go over everything for you. The filters are roughly 100 dollars, and the membrane being 54 with one hour of calibration and general labor. This will bring the cost of 184 plus shipping. Also if we find something wrong there will be additional costs.

When you send this to us we will treat it as our own as we do with all of our systems. You will get back a like new UHE system. If you are interested please send it in.

Excellent. I think I may send in my other Litermeter III for checkup and upgrade too :) Can you also include the manual for this unit as it didn't come with one.

Thanks Jeremy

Yes this will be a 100. The membrane in that system is obsolete and inferior. I will hook you up with our absolute best!!!

Send the Lm3 in and we will take a look at it.

Welcome back!
