Marsaqua 16" led for a 36 gallon 30" long?

I was told to get the marsaqua 24" led for my 36 gallon bow front tank that is 19" deep and 30"long. That looks awfully big for my tank couldn't I go with one of marsaqua 16"? I don't want my light system to be too big and light up the whole room! I want to keep softies, some lps, and maybe some sps.

You could get a 16" but the problem is that it might not cover the whole tank in light. If you keep the light high enough over the tank it will work. Iv got two of the 16" mars aqua lights on my 90 gallon 12" above the water and I get enough spread. Hope this helps. I would get the 24" to be sure its enough

I think the 16" will be great! On the edges of your tank that will have less light, you could put low light corals like lps mushrooms and things like that...I'm only getting one for my 40 breeder and that's a 36" long. Depends on how you mount it as well. I'm doing mine between 10-14 inches off the water

Yea really just depends how much full coverage you want and what way your gonna mount it

I am going to hang it over my tank, so do you think I should get the 24 instead?
