hi everyone,

i would like to have some information about harlequin tusk

Is it possible to keep a harlequin tusk in a 75 gal tank?:hmm4:

because some internet sites (like blue zoo aquatics) and books tell that tusk can be housed in a 75 gal and some say bigger (i know bigger is always better)? :reading:

I'm a little confuse so your quick replies would be very helpful, cause i found someone who is gonna sell his australian tusk for 60$(a very good deal for a AUS tusk):eek2:

Thank you

I think you need a 72" tank minimum. They are incredibly active and grow quite large.

Years ago I had a 72" tank with a 6" Tusk and he used every inch of that tank!

Have to agree, a 72" minimum. They are fairly large, active fish.

If it's $60, it's more than likely not an Aussie. Unless the guy just really wants to unload the fish. Mine is ~4.5" and uses every bit of my 8ft 240. Very active fish...

+1 on being extremely active. Mine was all over the tank, both all up in the rock work and cruising the length of the tank out in the open.
