How old is your tank, what are your water parameters (numbers please), how big is the tank and what lights do you have?

first off we need more information than that help you. secondly an anemone is an animal that eats.. and poops... the brown slimy stuff is its poop its perfectly normal for it to do that especially when slightly stressed like what could have occurred when added to your tank. that part is not to alarming but what is alarming is the mouth being open but to diagnose if its a problem or not WE NEED A PICTURE. along with all the information shifty51008 brought up like how old your tank is. size of tank, parameters such as ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, ph, salinity, temp, phos. we want the actual numbers not some statement like "all parameters are good". what type of lighting do you have and what was your acclimation procedure??????
