open brains

how big does open brains get. it seemed to already double in size in last 4 months. will it bud or frag on its own when it gets to big.

I'm not exactly sure how big they can get, but I don't think I've ever seen one that was about the same size as a football. They've always been much smaller. I'm assuming they must be out there though.

i know its hard to tell by scale, but that snail is a turbo snail and that sand is about 4 inches deep. so this brain extended is about 8 inches long and 7 inches wide at least

I'm not really sure if this will work, but use some scotch tape and attach a ruler to the glass & then try and recreate that same picture. Maybe this will give us an idea of how big that brain coral actually is.
