I am setting up a 125 gal reef tank. The tank is setup so it can be viewed from three sides.
I am Setting up a fixture for three it2040 ever grown led lights. I made a fixture out of 3/4" rigid conduit with 90 degree pre-bent corners. On the left side of the tank I have a shelf, conduit is securely attached to the shelf and runs up to a 90 degree bend. I attached another piece of rigid conduit this and ran it down the length of the tank where another 90 degree bend connects to a short piece of conduit that sits on the top of the tank glass. I attached a 3/4" schedule 40 fitting to the short piece of conduit and the pic fitting is notched to match the plastic cover on top of the tank. Hopefully I attached the picture correctly.
My concern is the weight of the lights that will be placed on the tank. Has anybody seen anything similar and/or have any advice on whether I should be concerned or not?
The lights each weight approx 17 lbs each.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
