When adding a new tank to an existing system, what is the recommended way to cycle?

How big is the new tank and what is the total water volume before adding it ?

You can just hook it up and slowly add water i would do so the amount of a normal water change over a few days . Depending on how big the new tank is..

there will be no need to cycle the new tank . With that said do not add any new live stock for a week or two . but again that depends on the size of the tank your adding..
