What are the other inhabitants of the tank?

I have both in a 75 and the bartlett's anthias is an open water swimmer. My Exquisite is usually poking his head out under a rock overhang, but will take a lap when my multicolor angle fish swims by him. Both are females so far, but I like the bartlett's anthias slightly better.

The Exquisite is a great tank mate, watch out, they jump. Got mine the first time, not the second, and I had a lid on the thing too :/

Do they really Jump like that ? I don't have a lid but I have the water level about 3 inches down from the top and there's a 1 inch ledge all around the tank ..

All wrasses require a COMPLETELY covered tank; 1/4" clear mesh works well.

open top = no wrasses

Agreed, I had a six line find the smallest little opening while i was watching TV around the tank and luckily I got him before my cat did.

I've since enhanced my screen.

Yea true, I left my screen top off just a hair one night and there he was on the floor.

That said Wrasses are about one of the nicest fish too keep.. Far more than anthias.

The thing about anthias is is is very hard to get them on pellet or flake if that is what you feed and they require lots of feeding and add a big load to the tank. I love my anthias but they can be a pain.

+1

The wrasse will be easier to care for, IMO. They take readily to most foods and don't require as many feedings as anthias.

I have a couple of wrasses with a glass top on my tank, but there are a couple of exposed spaces. Where do you find the plastic mesh material? Thanks!
