Hey all, can't work out how much live rock I need as all info is in gallons/lbs and I use litres/kgs and am terrible at math.
I have a 450L tank.
Thanks if you can help :) :)

According to Google 450 liters is 118 gallons so you probably have 120 gallon tank equals 120 pounds

Which equals 55 kgs according to Google. Lol

that is just a rule of thumb, not necessary what you need to put in there. Just put in as much as you feel like and how you'll like your tank to look. I have a 70g and I put under 20lbs of dry rock in there because I like that open look.

I agree that you don't need 1-1 gallon to pound of rock, make something that you like with a rock structure, and you'll be good It goes more about surface area than pounds. I have under 100 in my 180, and less in my 120. All my fish and corals are happy.

Build a scape that you like and that works for your tank, if you use less rock in the display you can add rock to a sump or just maintain a lighter bioload!
