Just curious as to what this is, if it is good or bad? It has little tiny stringy looking things on all the tips. One of my clowns nipped at it and the stringy things sucked themselves back into the stem thing....and of course a few minutes later popped back out.

Anyone know what in the world this is?

Looks like a type of tube worm - a good thing as they are filter feeders and will help keep your aquarium clean!

I'm thinking they could be colonial hydroids.
