Hi everyone,

I would like to know if some people know how to determine a female and a male marine betta.

I read some articles about, and its said that you can determine it by the sizes of the dot on the betta body and the lenght of th fins. Some says that male got a lot of dot and female less.

thank you

Basically you described a way to guess if they are male/female, but not a general rule (yet). That sounds about right, mind sharing the article?

I think the only way so far is to get 4-6 marine bettas and let them pair up like with cichlids.

Maybe check the forums on MOFIB? They might have some more information there...

Ive been told the shape of the head will determine what they are. I cant remember which one is what but as they mature one gender's head will grow longer and sharper where as the other genders head will stay shorter and wider. But when they are juveniles it would be difficult to determine gender.

I wish I knew 100% which was which but thats all I remember
