Due to a series of vacations over the summer, my tanks barely received any attention and the people feeding them and watching over them weren't extremely experienced and a lost about half of my fish over the last two months. I was thinking about getting the same fish as replacements, which I will for some, but it's not often that you have a chance to get a whole new set of fish. So I'm thinking of changing up a little, but I'm not quite sure what. I'm just looking for some suggestions before I go buy a big heaping pile of mistakes. I currently have a 75 gallon non reef with live rock tank and a 90 gallon mixed reef tank. I also have a 150 fresh water tank but that's for a different place. The 75 is 3 years old and the reef is 1 1/2 years old. Both are established with healthy copepod populations and are very stable after lots of cleaning when I returned. I'm going to wait a few weeks before I buy these fish, but I'd like to get some ideas down now. So yeah. Suggest away :p

The 75 has (left):
1 Melenarus Wrasse
1 Black and White clown
1 yasha goby (paired with shrimp)
A largish cleaner crew of many snails, hermit crabs, conchs, some small crabs, some starfish, sea urchins, and a couple other creatures.

The 90 reef has (left):
I snowflake clown
1 dartfish
1 purple striped pipefish (a hardy type of pipefish)
A similar cleaner crew without the coral eaters like starfish

For the reef tank I'm thinking about another fairy wrasse (which I lost) or some other type of wrasse and maybe another mandarin. For the 75 and angelfish maybe but other than that I'm open. I'd love a blue or yellow tang but it's just to small. Sorry this is so long.. I had a lot to say :clown:

Well first of all, I'm terribly sorry you lost so many fish because you were away, I just lost my sixline wrasse for the same reason. I think some sort of filefish could be really nice for either of the tanks, plus if you ever have an aiptasia problem it'll take care of that. (However please don't try a harlequin filefish lol) They might nip at your soft corals though so you want to be careful and maybe just put it in the 75. Some sort of toby puffer would be wonderful in the 75 gallon as well, they're so cute and personable. Some australian stripeys might work in the 90, but it might be a little small, plus they're hard to find. I also really like marine bettas. Those are just a few off the top of my head that I like.

Thanks! I'm sorry about your sixline I love those little guys. As for the filefish I've been considering one for my 75 but decided to wait until my traveling was over, which ended up being pretty good decision. Do you know any reliable websites that carry them? My lfs doesn't. I've always wanted a puffer but most get to big or to nippy but the valentine puffer looks pretty docile and small and I don't really care if he eats a few snails or hermits. Thanks for the suggestions!
