Painting a stand???

I have found a good deal on a Oceanic 60 cube and stand used. My wife would really like white but the stand is the standard black. Has anyone had any luck trying to paint a black stand?

If you want to paint or stain a stand, the first thing you should do it sand it. Once you've sanded it the stain or paint should stick just fine. Since you're going from dark to light you will need to put several coats on but it should be fine.
