First off...I know it could end badly. I upgraded from a 65g to a 180g last weekend and immediately added a yellow tang (after QT). I now have a sailfin tang finishing QT on Wednesday that I will be adding to the tank. The Aquascaping was just complete 4 days ago so im hoping the Yellow tang does not have a territory to defend quite yet. Is there anything I can do to lower the chances of them fighting?

Putting them together in a 5 gallon bucket and adding them at the same time.
I honestly wouldnt try it cause they are both Zebrasoma. Technically you can mix tangs but they should be in a different group.
So i have a salfin in my tank Zebrasoma i mixed mine with a Ctenochaetus. No issues as the Zeb. is bigger and usually salfins are pretty passive compared to other tangs.

You should be alright, I have a purple and a sailfin in a 120 I added at the same time but they have enough room in a 180 if a dispute does happen they might fight a little to show dominance or fight for territory but after a day or so they should be fine id try it
