I was looking at the Tunze website and saw that the listing for the 6055 shows it with the controller similar to the 6040. Is this correct? I love my 6040s but could use a bit more power and the 6055 with controller would fit the bill nicely. If not which controller will allow for a static wave setting?

Yes, now all the controllable models of pumps include the 7090 controller. This just started in June so some dealers may have older models in stock. The new models will have a sticker on the box that says controller included so verify this before buying if you want the model with the controller.

So are the old controllers been discontinued?

No, but they likely will eventually, the 7090 can do anything the 7092 can do. The 7097 will replace the 7096 where more features and integration are desired and the 7095 only remains around as we do have situations (maintenance companies or older or just plain technophobic people) where a computer interface is not wanted. I would expect within a couple years, the options will be the built in 7090 or the 7097 and the rest will go away.
