I was talking to a distributor a few days ago about a NextReef sump and was told they had gone out of business as of sometime last week. I was also told there would be no ongoing support/warranty for their products. I started looking around and sure enough many online stores have pulled their products from their sites.

Has anyone else heard this?

I have two of their reactors, not that I'm very concerned about warranty (they are rock solid) but this is upsetting because they are my "go to" recommendation for media reactors. For $75 to $99 you are getting what competitors like reef octopus and vertex charge double that price for.

Might have something to do with it...

I just tried to order a few spare parts. I picked up an o-ring and that's it. No one has anything for them, you cant even get replacement sponges.

You cannot compete with those businesses that sell products made in CHINA for 1/3 the price of American made products...just ask Euroreef and Reef Dynamics.
