Hello all, putting the final touches on my new system order. Going with a 220 gallon with corner overflows. I'm pretty sure we're going with the cherry Monterey stand.
Just one question, can I reverse the tank on the stand?

The tank is going to be used as a room divider between my dining room and the living room. The back of the tank is going to face the dining room and the back of the stand is going to face the living room and have a couch up against it. Is that going to be a problem?

Thanks for any help!

The stand is open on the back, I have one for my 120. Realistically, you'll need to either build something custom, or have something custom made.

Thanks, so reversing the tank on the stand isn't an option?

Is there a beam or anything blocking the front if I want to cut holes for the plumbing?
I was going to make a stand, but I want the warranty on the tank.

There is no problem with reversing tank. The back of the stand will have supports but you should be able to fit filtration through back. The only support under the tank will be toward middle and would not interfere.

This will not matter for you, but for other looking for info on this stand, the hinges on the front of this stand are underwhelming.

What do you want for $800??? ;)

You should also check but I believe modifying the stand would also void the warranty...

A lot for $800. For around $350 I am building a solid hickory stand for my 93 cube that will be taller then the marineland tanks allowing more options...

You can turn it around, but will have to cut holes for the overflows. That will likely void the warranty.

Your tank warranty is also less (1 year?) if you use a custom stand

From my understanding any custom stand automatically voids the warranty. Which is why I bought a stand.
Will I have to cut holes for the plumbing?

There are 2 cutouts for the overflows on the back side only. If you turn it around, you'll have to cut your own.

even if you bought their stand for the warranty. when you cut it or drill it, this is going to void the warranty anyway...
