I know some people use them. Interested in hearing how your SPS do with it.

If it were up to me I would look into a XR30w Pro. I don't think I've seen many people be successful with a XR15 with SPS for a 24" footprint.

I just bought 3 XR30w Pro's for a 60" wide tank.

I am putting together a 24x24 shallow tank and went with a XR30 Pro with wide angle lenses for the coverage. Looks like it should work nicely...

I have a 24x24x12 with XR15... looks good. SPS do great. If you look at Ecotechs page for the XR15 it literally covers a 24"x24" area. Use wide angle and you'll be fine!

Not so good on a 24x24x24 though. Not enough penetration.

Whoops, For some reason I thought you had a 30, not a 60. (Guess I got confused with the one pictured above).

I'd be more concerned about dim areas. more than penetration. Radions are incredibly powerful. Anything larger than my current dimensions, I would have purchased an XR30.

This is a good visual from Ecotech:

It lights the tank up even with the narrow lens very well. Guess it's just not enough par.

Would the xr15 be ok on a 60g cube for LPS?

My lps do good. I have a piece of birds nest that's doing well now also. Have a few zoas that stretch but, they stretch wherever I put them. Also switching to the narrow lens with the rms mounts seems better. My bta finally settled at the top of the rockwork and bubbled backup. It was stretched uner the wide lens
