Ok so my budget is $1000 or less.

265Gallon DT
15 fish (4 that are in the 5-6inch range).
SPS dominated (not yet but will be).

The fish are fed automatically 2 times a day (pellets), and are given nori almost everyday. I also try to drop in 1 cube of food a day as well. So I would say Medium to Heavy feeding.

My sump skimmer section is 14″ x 19.5″.

So what would you guys suggest? I really like compact designs like the RO Elite 220SSS, Skimz SM253 etc. But a purchase this big I don't want to just wing. I would really love opinions from people with similar setups.

with that budget and size tank I would look at Lifereef, MTC, MRC, or ATB.

Also wanted to say that I will eventually be carbon dosing this tank with Vinegar. I havent started it yet because the skimmer I currently own is the one from my previous tank and is overloaded already.

I'm a fan of my Skimz SK222. I'm running it on my 120g setup, and will soon move it to the ~85g custom peninsula I'm setting up.

I did a lot of research, before I decided on the SuperReef. The RO SuperReef is quite, been around for long time, and reliable (from my research). Also, it is reasonably priced. One drawback, however, is that out of the box, the output is above recommended water line. It make splashing sound. This can be fixed with couple of PVC pieces.
