Hey all -
My current tank is a custom 70g 36x20x24 with primarily SPS and Zoanthids. I got an XF-150 because I would rather run it at <50% than to run the XF-130 at >50%.
Anyhow, I have been playing with the placement and settings and I am having trouble getting it to a point where I am completely happy. It seems like it is either blowing my coral and fish around to the point of stress, or not producing enough flow.
As of right now I have it mounted horizontally, parallel to the water line on the right side glass about 4" below the water line. I have the output of the cages set nearly parallel to the water line with a slight bias toward the surface.
The cage combination I am running is the out of the box A-B and I am using pulse mode at 40% with a fairly long interval of about 5s.
Can anyone who has had a Gyre running in an SPS dominant tank with fish give me some ideas as to ideal settings I can run it in?
Thanks in advance!
