Just received a 2 x 250watt 3 ft Radium Cebu sun fixture and It is a thing of beauty! It is built like a tank!! The 2 M80 ballast that came where we'll worth the wait! There extreamly quite for a magnetic ballast, the reflectors are nice as well with no crimps and unusual bends' do seamed nicely. I appreciate Dave from Hamilton for working with me, there great and friendly people over there, customer service was top notch when I had any questions,'or kept bugging them when the ballast would arrive. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone! If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me.

Frankenstein's Monster!! Good lights from what I've heard but ugly as sin unfortunately. Not that it really matters if it's inside a hood.

I really like my Cebu Sun as well. I had Radions on my tank for a year then went to this light. I'm glad I switched,

I added the BML 72" XB Series Super Actinic to my Cebu.
92 LEDS! Dang thing is bright. Only needed the one to make a slight color difference when all MH and T5 are on. And I get those nutty black-light colors morning and evening. Best use of all three techs! :)

Dennis maybe Hamilton should add an option just like the M80 ballast, you can now trim out your fixture with two BML's?

Or they should create their own, following BML's lead since they dabble in LEDs too.
The 72" strip from BML has 92 leds comprised of (6) 450nm Royal Blue, (5) 405nm UV, (4) 470nm Blue per 12" of length. 108w at full power. And then you can choose your beam angle. I went with the 75 degrees.
I might be scared to put a second one on. lol Definitely not needed for my tank. :)

Not a Cebu sun bit Hamilton fixture. If we are doing show and tell... Three Hamilton, 2 t5 and 2 reefbrite. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/25/e9b8b6f1051be14c4f8bfcd2a0566ad5.jpg
Best of all worlds imho. I think Hamilton should have this as an option for sure! Remove 2 t5 and add 2 led strip.

Are all those lights mounted in a canopy? How high is it off your tank? Curious to see what it looks like in place. Looks nice.

Mounted in a floating canopy that is hung about 12" above the tank.

Great idea. How do you attach it to the wall so that it's also removable?

Just hung from the ceiling. Snapped a quick pic before lights on this am. Need to replace the chain with something more elegant ASAP but time has not been on my side. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/27/5a530d711164a76defcdad0d2ffe3a58.jpg

D2Mini and Tweaked, why did you guys add the LEDs? Just to tinker, or is there something lacking on the Cebu MH/T5?

I just got my new tank delivered 5 mins ago, and am debating back and forth between the cebu with a radium or making a larger version of my DIY radion/t5 hood.

Nice! I might pick up a set of electronic ballasts in case I want to try something other than Radiums at some point.

Do you guys think a single 250w 36" Cebu fixture will cover my 36x36 cube well? It has a center overflow on the back wall, so I will likely leave a straight line across that back bare and start my aquascape in front of it. So...maybe more like 36x28 or so?

And are you guys using their 20k bulb? A different color temp? A different brand bulb altogether?

I am pulling the glass to change the T5 bulbs for the first time next weekend......nervous about that!

Im thinking of putting this back up on my display. Does anyone know if the glass shield helps with heat??
