How do I determine a firefish goby pair?

I was wondering if someone could tell me what to look for in a firefish pair.. How do I determine if they're paired or not? the most I can say so far is that they are pretty much always side by side unless one is in their home.. And that they share the same home.. I haven't seen any form of aggression from either of the two and on is is a decent bit larger than the other

If it is going to work, they will coexist after 4 months. If it is not going to work, only one will be left.
