Toadstool ripped

Hi,

A piece of my toadstool leather seems to be breaking off.
Does anyone know what this is, what could be the cause and if I should take actions (cut bad part away?)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Could be reproduceing, most leathers will drop small parts off the mother colony.
