When it becomes available I'll be getting a white tail bristle tooth. What other if any tangs are compatible and are not bullies. I don't like drama.
Current inhabitants are mixed coral, 2 Bellus Angels, clown, diamond goby, sixline wrasse, lawnmower blenny, skunk shrimp, snails and hermits
Tank is 159 ga (really only about 130. Advertised as 150)

It helps to choose tangs that are a different shape and color. Although I have a large yellow, desjardini together that act like they are paired. They follow each other around the tank and share a sleeping spot. I also have a large vlamingi and a very small juv. caribbean blue in my tank and all get along great. The vlamingi who was very small when I got him is now the boss and everyone know this so no one challenges him.

Thoughts on chevrons? Honestly most of their bodies look the same to me except zebra (purple, yellow etc) and naso (my tank is too small). The rest all look "almond" shaped

I'll email them. I have no experience with them.
LOVE LOVE LOVE our Chevron.
Everyone's favorite fish that comes over as well.
As they get older and get darker red they look stunning.
Also picks at the rocks a lot more than other tangs.

Is your chevron with other tangs and hospitable to others?

Love purples but they are a holes. Powders are problematic. So I'm trying to make my list and plan accordingly so I'm ready at go time

In order from smallest to biggest:
Chevron, Yellow, YB Blue and Black tangs.
No problems :)
The Chevron stays to himself mostly.

I'd skip Purple, Sohal, PBT...

I notice you have a huge tank. Mines only 140 ga. Not big enough for a chevron :(

I have a Lemonpeel Mimic Tang with my Kole Tang and they get along great.
Being that the Mimic Tang is a smaller Acanthurus tang, it will do well in mid-sized reef tanks with your current selection of fish.

Sure it is.
FWIW, my Chevie is actually quite aggressive; always mixing it up with the convict.
