I have a purple tang who got stuck to my closed look intake. From the looks of it he was probably on there for several hours. This happened once before years ago and once I turned it off he swam away. This time I think he was on there way longer. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help revive him. I turned off most of the flow in the tank and he's still breathing and moving a bit but mostly just laying on the bottom. I'm worried he is probably to far gone but want to do what I can to help.
Thank you

At least turn on one of your power heads to break the surface to aid in oxygen. Some flow in the tank isn't going to hurt if you are aimed at the surface.

As strange as this sounds, I have personally seen this work. Hold the tang in your hands and push him through the water, to get oxygen through his gills. He was essentially being suffocated while stuck on the drain. Good luck, I hope the little guy pulls through

Thanks for the reply's, unfortunately he did not make it. A few hours after I found him he was actually swimming around a bit and trying to eat. I thought he might pull through. Then before bed I found him laying on the bottom again. I tried to move some air though his gills and he was moving a bit before I went to bed but it looked like he was too far gone. This morning when I woke up he was gone.
Sad day, I had him/her for just over 9 years.
