Delayed cycle??

I have had my tank running with dry and sand for the last 2 weeks. A week ago I added a small ball of cheato 2 immature pieces of lr and a bag of live sand to the sump. My ammonia is at .5 ppm and has bean for the last week. I have bean dosing seachem stability for a weeks time. Should I amp up the ammonia?

I would get a second opinion on the test kit. Ammonia kits can fail and read ammonia in everything. My first ammonia kit was like that. Adding ammonia won't do anything useful.
