What is the best way to remove a leather coral from a rock I want to remove

Some you can just slowly "peel" it off if it's big enough and you can get a good enough grip, and you can take the rock out of the water.

Or you can cut it off, use a sharp blade.

They look to be on frag plugs, pop them off. Use a screwdriver or something like that if you can't do it with just hands.
