I asked and was suggested by members here that it was best to not keep multiple fox face fish in my 250. My LFS has 4 in their tank and seem to be fine with no issues. Is this just luck of the draw or does the extra foot traffic keep them occupied compared to a home aquaria.

I think it is more of them being in a new environment where no other fish has had the ability to stake out it's own territory. If left in the same tank long-term there would likely be conflicts in species that tend to do so.

+1. LFS can sometimes keep the same species in one tank because there is a high turnover and no room for marking territory. Foxface are pretty docile, but I wouldn't chance it.
