I am using ro waste water and ro mixed to start up a growout tank.

It's a 29 with a 20l.sump.

I might end up keeping alot of clownfish in this tank.

I just had my pair lay last night so I figure in 3 or 4 weeks tell be ready for it.
And it will be ready for them.

Can you keep a batch of juveniles in something as small as this.

Do I need to prepare something larger?

Yes you can use a system that size as long as you do regular maintenance, but absolutely do NOT use RO waste water you are guaranteed to kill them.

I wouldnt suggest useing waste water, if you want to save your di for the main tank at least use ro water at the least.

For ocy type clowns that tank will be fine but wont grow very fast so it will take longer for them to reach selling size.

One of the keys to success for raising good looking (minimal defects) clowns is using very clean water, and maintaining clean water in the system -- it's definitely easier said than done.
