I've been out of the hobby for a while and now reading up on refugiums. I'm in the process of setting up a new reef and wondering if I should leave thus as is or make it a refugium. All input is welcome. . . If I make it a fuge, do I use socks?

You could make it a fuge but where would you put your skimmer? Im not a fan of filter socks but alot are so that is a personal prefference. My drains go right to my fuge so i would rather have raw water from the tank go to feed the fuge rather than it cleaning it with filter socks. 2 times a year i will syphon rhe fuge out though.
