Hi

Which of these two aquariums looks better for a nano fish only with live rock tank.

The dimensions are

Length - 29cm
Width - 29cm
Height - 27cm

= 23 litres

The second one looks better. First is easier to use and set up though.

The all in one unit has advantages of you don't have to go setting up a sump or a bunch of hob extras. In the long run will save you money.

The bad side is I've heard the lighting on these isn't up to par with lights needed for a reef tank. Corals need much better lighting. There are some other upgrades I just don't remember them off hand. Might want to post in the Nano forum further on down the forum list. Those guy's all have nano tanks and can help you out.

Personally I prefer the second and traditional tank using a sump. Much more versatile and has more volume to be able to increase bioload

note that the first one I removed the back filter for added water volume.

Between your two, Mr. Aqua.

Instead I would do the IM 10 gallon for $100 and add a Mars led for another $70 and call it a day. Why? If you decide to add corals you are pretty set and would only need to add another ph like the tunze 6020 or 6040.

Prefer the rimless, looks nicer. I have the top one and the lights suck, only blue and white. Also one switch which means it's all or nothing, non dimable.
