I recently tore down my 125G to replace the flooring and lost a few friends in the process. Now that I'm up and running, any advice is appreciated.

What I had:
2 clowns
1 Sailfin Tang
1 Yellow Tang
1 Vlamingii Tang
1 Blue Tang
hermits
shrimps

What I have:
5 hermits
1 shrimp
1 sailfin

What I'd like to end up with:
1 Sailfin, hermits, shrimp - done
2 clowns
Yellow Tang
Powder Blue Tang
Vlamingii, bluespine unicorn tang or purple tang?
4 or 5 chromis
emerald crabs

I'd love to hear what else you would add or change! Thanks everyone

I think that's a bit heavy on the tangs for a 125. I've got just a hippo in my new 125 and get yelled at.

I was told that my 4 tangs initial tangs would be too much but everyone got along fine. I know the vlamingii will grow and that's okay. I just want to make sure everyone will get along in a reef tank.

The most likely scenario is their growth will be stunted. Many of the fish you listed don't belong in a 125. Here are the minimums: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1946079

Under proper conditions, a Vlamingi Tang can reach a foot in under a year. I've heard as quickly as 6 months in a very large tank.

Multiple Zebrasoma are also unlikely to do well in the same tank.

Also the "4 or 5 chromis" will probably turn into "1 chromi" after a short while. There are some exceptions where they coexist for longer than a few months, but they are few and far between.

I know people who have had success adding a purple and yellow at the same time. Those and your sailfin would probably be fine.

I'd say only add the Yellow Tang.

The others will get too big.

1 Sailfin Tang - Can grow very large, seen them huge in the ocean.
1 Vlamingii Tang - MASSIVE
1 Blue Tang - MASSIVE
