Hi All,

Please advice my anthias got stuck in an anemone and got itself released and now it is swimming but not as how it was, is their anything which i need to do? could see the green spots over him.

Not all that much to be done unless you want to move it to a QT tank with some Nitrofuracin green powder. Otherwise it will either recover, or it will not.

What kind of anemone is it?

Hope its not a haddoni. Those stings are tough to heal from

Hope it recovers. Had a fish get stung once and could see the lesions. It didnt make it unfortunately.

If it was a carpet nem, then the chances are slim. I had a healthy 3" clown tang who was stupid enough to swam into a carpet (he got spooked). I was able to wrestle him out and he swam away. But the next day he was dead. The nem is still alive, even after I rip part of it.

Each tentacle is basically a harpoon that injects venom into the prey -- or whatever swims into it -- aside from clownfish or other symbionts. So unless the fish wasn't stung badly, the chances of it surviving typically aren't very good.

Hope it survives but odds are slim, rootin for it though, post what happens.
