Hey all. Currently I have the Current USA Orbit Marine LED Lights. They work okay for soft corals and such, but I am wanting something that is stronger. I have done tons of research on those china lights on ebay. Yah, it sucks but thats all I can afford right now. Not only that, they have a better PAR then what I have right now. The question I have though is they sell 2 different ones with bulbs on different channels.

They have one that has the Cool white(10000-14000K), Neutral whites(6500-7500K), Warm white(3500-4500K), Green 520nm and Deep red 660nm. on chan 1 and Blue 460nm and Royal blues 450nm, Violet 420nm. on chan 2

Or they have

Cool white(10000-14000K), Neutral whites(6500-7500K), Warm white(3500-4500K), Violet 420nm, Green 520nm and Deep red 660nm. on Chan 1 and Blue 460nm and Royal blues 450nm. on chan 2

Which is better. I kinda like the second set up better but Im not sure..

Here are the picture differences

The first pic is the first setup I listed and the second picture is the second setup I listed

I just ordered the Marsaqua ones. There's a big thread on them. Check it out.

It's just my opinion, but I'd rather have the violet (not really UV) on the blue channel. It's really more in line with all the blue spectrum, it isn't really UV so it isn't hard on the corals and if the white channel is run at a lower power level than the blue (as most people do) then you are getting less violet into the tank. And the zooxanthellae like the blue & violet.
