Please tell me out your eel experiences...

Once the 60g cube is set up the kids really (really, really, really) want an eel. Looks like a Golden Dwarf would be the best choice for being somewhat reef and livestock safe, and be the smallest with a max length of 12". My daughter has her heart set on a zebra though, which seems ok other than it could eat a few critters and knock over stuff once it gets bigger.

Any insight and/or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

ps...I'm not going to be happy if this thing bites me!!

I've owned a Hawaiian golden dwarf eel they are great , she seemed to be into people watching which made it good because you can always she her, also they stay small so you don't have to worry about your other fish getting eaten, golden never went after my hand when I was doing maintenance.

I have a newly acquired snowflake and love it . Buy a plastic rod and make a skewer for its food.He doesnt bother the fish at all.

Had two of the Hawaiian golden dwarves! Great critters! Didn't bother the fish or crabs.
