Hello all,

Im setting up my first coral tank this christmas and need some help.
Im only keeping a pair of clowns and various corals (undecided on specifics).

Ive always had FOWLR tanks but I think Im ready for the next step.

Are there any major differences between the JBJ and Fluval? This biggest con I see of the JBJ is the cost due to having to buy everything separately. The tank alone is $250-$300. Then add on the cost of a stand, lights, proper media and filtration, etc.

My LFS has the complete Fluval set up (stand included, LED lights, protein skimmer, power head, and a few other things) for $500.

Im not trying to skimp out, just looking for the best deal.

I only know the JBJ product. I had a JBJ30RL and one of the best features in my opinion is the ability to move the media baskets both to one side. This gave me room to run a nice nano skimmer on one side. I liked the tank, but the stand isn't very good quality..kind of cheapish.
