Since the thread is still locked and "Snorvich" must still be taking a break(Any ideas if/when he's coming back), I thought I'd ask the rest of you. Let me know any thoughts, red flags, suggestions, etc....

I have a 180g DT, 75g sump (filled to 60g water level) with refugium. Going for mixed reef.

The groups below are the what I plan to order and QT together using the TTM.

Group 1:
Flame Angel
Blue/Green Chromis
Exquisite Firefish
Clown Goby - Yellow

Group 2:
Powder Blue Tang
Gold Assessor Basslet
McCosker's Flasher Wrasse

Group 3:
Yellow Tang
Hawkfish
Orchid Dottyback

Thanks,
ZB

Think twice about that Doty Back. They are abusive of others

I like group 2, tang for algae control, wrasse for pod population and the basslet to to dust off the rocks and sand.

Since you mention mixed reef, I'd be wary of the flame angel nipping at corals. I've seen where they liked to mess with "fleshy" LPS such a open brains etc..

In a 180, it would be very difficult to catch should it become an issue.

I would add the powder blue last as they can be quite aggressive.

longnose hawkfish would work but add him last and keep in mind that almost any shrimp (peppermints, cleaners, etc) will become food for him only shrimp that I have been able to keep with mine is a coral banded, mine has tried to snag him a few times the shrimp usually catches him then lets him go

agree on adding tangs last, and qt those suckers for a little longer than normal

flame angel will pick on sps and large fleshy lps (bubble, brains, duncans) also they love clams
