Hanna primo off charts

New setup, live rock. Zero ppm going in tank just got the primo checker says it's off the charts. Checked holding tank(just added salt an hour ago) says the new salt water Is off charts

It was new water as of this morning went in with zero

I calibrated the primo to be sure anyone have a thought, neither tank or fresh salt batch should read off the charts

I assume the primo checker is their TDS meter (had to google it). If so testing the TDS of saltwater is always going to be off the chart. Seawater is something in the 10s of thousands ppm TDS.

What are you trying to measure with the TDS? Typically it's used to check the functioning of your RO/DI system, so if your water out of the filter is zero, then your good.

Yeah just to double check. RO/DI water read 0.00, and Saltwater read OTC? Then your fine. TDS not meant for saltwater. Lots of Total Dissolved Solids in salty water:)
