High Pressure Sodium Light

Just a simple question and maybe start a discussion for everyone's edification.
I have not seen any threads on this light and I know that it is used for plant growing a good bit because it recreates natural light. (Or so I've been told)

Are there uses for this light or are there so many down sides to it, it goes past the point of diminishing returns?

It'll grow algae like there's no Tomorow as it is more towards the yellow end of the spectrum. I think most are around 4k. Most old street likes are sodium bulbs. Think that nice yellow color would look good lol?
