Picked these up yesterday for $30/ea, figured I'd give it a shot. Aquarium hopefully is mature enough at little over a year.

Looking on liveaquariua, pretty sure the green spikey one is a branching acropora, maybe a bushy one, and the flat brown guy is a montipora type.

The red one tho, I have no idea, closest I can see is that it might be a red gorgonia, which I hope it isnt. If it is tho I'll order some reef-roids and some other coral foods and give it the best chance I can.

Left is a gorgonian. Middle is unknown until it develops color, but a type of acropora. Right is a red montipora.

oh poo, into the fire I go =D

I'll spot feed the gorgonian when its polyps are out with a mixture of coral frenzy and reef-roids.

thx for the help =D

I've been reading up on gorgonians but what info I've been able to find isnt really helping, I've learned that there are photosynthetic gorgonias and usually the non-p type have white polyps. I've taken another picture of mine in the DT:

does any one know if this guy is photosynthetic or not?

From what he looks like he seems happy, I have him in pretty heavy flow close to a gyre generator's return current.
