I was looking around my tank last night and noticed a anemone on one of the live rocks:cool:., I have never bought a anemone for this tank so I am pretty sure that is was a hitchhiker with a frag(I do have a few aptasia pop up, I rarely see those because I have a file fish that keeps them in check) or sprouted from one of the live rocks, the only other type I have seen in my tank were pest aiptasias. I have a mixture of figi live rock that is about 5 years old and a few rocks from pacific east aquaculture that are about three years old. I also have 20 pounds of live rock in my 40gal breeder refugium/sump that I moved from the main display that is the a mixture of the rock that is currently part of the reef of both kinds of rocks. I have no clue of the type but I am thinking a bubble tip of some sort? I have seen manjos before but they have they were green, I also have seen strawberry anemones hitch hike on live rock but they are clear with a red foot and alot smaller. Could you please help me identify this anemone so I know if I need to get rid of it?:lolspin:

Now I see them.

It looks kind of like a Ball-Tipped Anemone to me. (Pseudocorynactis)

If you want to kill it this is what you do
Take a hyperdermic syringe filled with hot vinegar
Inject the vinegar into the base of it where it attaches to the rock boom it'll die in a few mins

I got rid of mojanos in my tank that way

Well, should I keep it or kill is the question?

Ball anemones are really cool, mostly remain small, and are unlikely to harm anything. They do not photosynthesize, so will have to be target fed. have had them many times. Do not kill!

Yeah I am going to keep it, only thing that is close to him are some mushrooms and pipe organs.
