The custom stand and canopy I built are having major issues with humidity. The canopy actually is mildewing. I'm buying fans today to remove the moisture. My question is this. Which direction should the fans vent? Draw dry air in, or push moist air our? I'm thinking push the moist air out.

I had that same issue. I installed a small computer fan hanging down from the back of my canopy, it blows air inside of the canopy. Once I did that no more nasty black mold anywhere in the canopy. I have a maple stand with matching canopy.

Awsome and thanks. I stopped by a thrift store and bought an old pc with a couple of fans just for that reason--quite and cheap.

I would have one fan draw in and one draw out, that would be best for circulation.

I had fans blowing dry air in, with the thought that moving dry air would be less likely to cause premature failure of the fans than moving humid air.

This.

Ive tested, tested, and tested....this was the best results.

I currently have two 120mm fans blowing in and have zero issue with heat or humidity now. Good luck.

fans blowing in... don't forget to make an exhaust hole too...

Air in because of humidity.

I've found a vent hole in the top of the canopy works well to remove humidity (warm air rises) without needing a fan.

Thanks all. When I built the canopy I put circular soffit vents on the back of it. Obviously it wasn't enough. I used regular rectangular soffit vents for the stand.

Like most said, have the fans blowing in, with exhaust area. You will have premature failure of the fans if you have them blowing out!
