Is there such a thing as a soft shelled snail? After a power outage for three hours yesterday, I found a critter crawling on my rock that I'd never seen before. Coloration matched the rock so closely, I almost wonder if its body is partially see through? I clearly has feelers, and a mouth and "foot" similar to a snail, but doesn't appear to have a shell. Overall size was maybe .5 inch. Any ideas? It is in the center of both pictures, but you have to look closely as it is so well camouflaged.

Looks like a stomatella snail. They are good and eat algae. Nice to find something in there that you have never seen before, right? I should have some since I saw several when I added some LR, but it has been a year or more since I have seen any so I'm not surprised you didn't know about it. If you start looking, especially at night with a red light then you can see all sorts of weird creatures in your tank.
