Is this considered a "Cinnamon polyp" or just a regular Grandis?

I've always thought that they were one in the same.

Isn't a "cinnamon polyp" just another term for a grandis though?

A cinnamon polyp is palythoa grandis. However, the OP's first picture is not a cinnamon polyp, but it is a palythoa grandis.

Cinnamon polyp, as the name implies, just refers to the appearance/colour....it's usually a solid brown/rusty orange, or speckled or mottled. If it has any other colour (greens, purples, blues) it ceases to be a cinnamon polyp (IMO!).

both are palythoa grandis, but the cinnamon polyps are on the right
