APEX gold vs standard

I'm picking up an APEX today and trying to decide between a gold and standard. The salinity probe is enticing, but I'm not sure if I have any use for ge or probe.

Two questions. First, what do you use the orp probe output for? Second, is the gold worth the extra cost?

Orp is good only if you plan on running ozone. Salinity probe is very nice

Do not put stock in the salinity probe. While a nice thought, unless calibrated often, it is just not accurate. Even then it is not to be trusted.
