Problems with Reeflink and MP40w QD

Hi,


i have 2 new MP40w QD and a reeflink.

Both pumpes are communicating with each other and the reeflink is already installed. Also ESL is finding the reeflink. But my problem is, when i start ESL my reeflink can´t find any devices.

Latest Reeflink Firmware is running.
I´m using MacOS.

ESL will always start to set up a new tank and is searching for devices. After some time, ESL tells me there are no devices or i will have a time out error.


I hope someone can help me!!

In ESL on the DEVICES screen there is under advanced on the left a label to add QD pumps.

The issue is that the option is not allways there. I had to go to "Update Ecosmart Vortechs" and then you get a warning that QD pumps do not need to be updated and when you are back I think I got the option to add the QD pumps.

If not I would try with the smartphone application to add QD Vortechs

This is an issue I already had with my G2 radions pro, a nightmare, I have an open thread. To solve it I had to make a complete setup using the access point of my telephone and not my home network.

With my home network ESL connects only sometimes and very inconsistently, easier early in the morning, although all leds in reeflink are blue indicating the connection. I am configuring it from Germany. I think there is some issues to solve. There is no information on how ESL connects through the firewall to reeflink in the home network, there is no information on how to setup the firewall if it needs to be done at all.

For the old Vortechs I think something needs to be upgraded in the driver and for the new QD ones they just need to be found by ESL. I did not upgrade them. The best way it worked for me was to connect to internet with the access point of my phone.

power off, press mode+set till control dial is blue/red when powering on,.....


unfortunately the control dial is blue/red and not green/blue. I´ve tried thes several times!!!!

I think that procedure is only for the old white controller. If you have the new back QD you do not need to follow it, ESL should find the pumps after pressing a new button that sometimes pops up below the "UPDATE ECOSMART VORTECHS"
