I am currently cycling a 210 gallon tank, 7' x 2' x 2'.

I am planning on this tank being fairly heavy on tangs so I got a greater capacity protein skimmer rated for 400 gallons.

Below is my potential stock list (in order of adding to tank):
- 2 occelarious clownfish
- six line wrasse (not 100% sold on this fish)
- 2 blood red shrimp, 2 skunk cleaner, 1 emerald crab, 1 peppermint shrimp
- yellow eye kole tang
- naso tang
- hippo tang
- powder blue tang
- small clean up crew with astrea and cerith snails or Clown Trigger.
- yellow tang
- 3 ignitus anthias

What do you think of this stock list? Each item will be QT for 4-6 weeks before being added to the main display.

Also do I have too many shrimp/crabs for a tank this size? I really enjoy the movement and variety they add to the tank. As well as their ability to take care of uneaten food and some bubble algae/aptasia.

The clown trigger will eat the all crabs, shrimps, and eventually the sixline, anthias, and clowns especially after the trigger is established in the tank.

Oh wow. I did not know the clown triggerfish were so aggressive. Are there any reef compatible triggers?

I'm thinking, one too many tangs. You can do a Bluethroat instead of the clown trigger.

Crosshatch, blue throat, sargassum, golden backs and some nigers. The naso will eventually get too big for the 210 more than likely. 8ft/300g+ is recommended

Will the Trigger mess with the shrimp or the crabs?

Also do I have too many crabs/shrimp?

The triggers that were named will not mess with shrimp or crabs. I don't think so, I had 7 cleaners in my 220g at one time

If I have a blue throat trigger with the cleaner shrimps, emerald crabs and tangs; do you think this will be enough in ways of a clean up crew??

Or will I get a bunch or detritus growth on the rocks/sand??

Shrimp will only eat left over food that the fish don't eat. Emerald crabs scavenge from rocks and substrate. Snails depending on which kind will keep rocks and glass clean but not all snails can move thru sand so keep that in mind. If rock is in the middle not touching glass then Astreas in particular will be worthless or you could put a few on the rock structure never to leave since they can't move thru the sand
