why can't polarized pumps work with its older non polarize model? doesn't polarize plugs fit into non polarized female plugs?

No because one side is wider than the other

yeah so couldn't a polarized pump plug which has the same two small sizes fit anyway?

If you trim the extra width off but this could boid any warranty on the pump

the older models have unpolarized female plugs so if someone was to use polarized pump plugs shouldn't that fit into the unpolarized female plugs on the ato? since the unpolarized female plug holes have one side that's bigger

Think you are confused polarized have one side bigger than the other unpolarized are the same size. A polarized will not fit into an unpolarized plug
